2015 Cattaratto, Palazzo del Mare

Catarratto may not be a grape variety that is familiar to many, yet like so many Italian grapes it produces delicious wines at very reasonable prices. It's a little more herbal and savoury than an aromatic Sauvignon blanc, but it is just as fresh and moreish. It's easy to drink on its own, but given the slight nuttiness to the finish it will also accompany dishes (particularly Italian dishes) with mushrooms, nuts, truffle and cream sauces.
