Magnum - 2010 Ch Lamothe-Cissac Cru Bourgeois

A serious wine, from an excellent vintage, in magnum size, what's not to like. Lamothe-Cissac borders the famous village of Pauillac and it's wines are right up there with some of it's illustrious neighbours in terms of sophistication. Low yields, careful grape selection and barrel ageing in fine french oak ensures the wine has intensity, and this particular vintage shows off a great depth of fruit thanks to some exceptional growing conditions. It's still young, but open a couple hours before drinking and you'll be rewarded with a magnificent claret.
